This day’s challenges include conquering the wild waves and currents of a mountain river, plus tackling the jumps and rappels of a canyoning tour. Rappels and jumps of as much as 10 meters present you with whole new challenges, which you are sure to overcome with the proffesional assistance of the guides.
CANYONING AND TUBING
Canyoning is all about hiking through a canyon by following the natural water course, with a variety of passages to negotiate along the way. You can jump into crystal-clear pools, rappel over waterfalls, or simply slide down one or other rocks.
And as a bonus, another special experience will follow that will make your exploration of the river landscape perfect – tubing, the latest whitewater craze! Fun and action are guaranteed.
TRIP TO NATURE´S ICE PALACE AT THE GLACIER
Nature’s Ice Palace at the Hintertux Glacier is a natural gem, unique worldwide and an ideal year round excursion destination . The entrance to this ice cave is only a 3 to 4 minute walk from the top station of the Gletscherbus 3 lifts. On guided tours, visitors are asked to „Step inside” to this wonderful world deep beneath the ski slopes and discover a glacial crevasse with magical ice stalactites, giant sparkling ice crystals, frozen waterfalls and even a glacial lake.
Nature’s Ice Palace has a constant temperature of 0° degrees 365 days of the year. Warm clothing and sturdy shoes are required for the tour. Nature’s Ice Palace fascinates both adult glacier fans as well as families with children with its‘ cool, natural beauty.
The tour takes 60 minutes and shows the most beautiful attractions held captive within the glacier.
HINTERTUX PANORAMA TERRACE
The Panorama Terrace on the Hintertux Glacier is located at an impressive 3,250 metres above sea level and is easily accessible for everybody. From the base station in Hintertux, visitors glide up to the fascinating mountains of Zillertal in comfortable gondolas from the base station in Hintertux.. The ascent alone with the Gletscherbus 3 lifts, the highest double cable, cable car, is an experience in itself! The highest point in the Zillertal Alps with lift access can be found on the spacious observation deck at the top station of the lifts. This where you will literally enjoy a bird’s eye view of everything!
Breathtakingly extensive views open up in panoramic form, ranging from the Zugspitze to the Dolomites and Großglockner. From this location you can also enjoy probably the best view of the high Alpine Zillertal Alps Nature Park.
